Hi, I’m April.

As a bilingual Latina therapist, I have gained experience in community mental health outpatient, private, and non-profit settings. Communities I've worked with include BIPOC, HIV+, LGBTQ and Gender-non Conforming, Homelessness, Grief and individuals in Recovery. I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in the state of California. 

I specialize in working and treating adults and youth who experience Trauma, Grief, Depression and Anxiety. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as completed all core skills, and currently pursuing certification. I offer peer consultation for therapists seeking support in navigating couples cases. I completed an Infant-Parent Mental Health fellowship at UC Davis, and can support your work with new parents. I am trained in various trauma modalities, and we can discuss your interest in training yourself or finding the right match for your clients. I offer tips and information regarding my own experience and training.

I currently work with clients who are mid-career or professionals. Their backgrounds include education, media and arts, as well as wellness and health service industries.

I have established a successful practice in the state of California and enjoy mentoring other therapists who need support in gaining confidence and direction in the next step of their career.

Clinical Consultation services are for therapists who are seeking clinical support, and not for those seeking certification in a specific modality through consultation.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

During our consultation we will discuss ways in which you can better support your client’s treatment and identify concerns or obstacles. If you are seeking career mentorship we will discuss what your goals are and develop action steps. 

NEXT STEP IN THE PROCESS

You will receive notes from our consultation including any resources or recommendations discussed.
